The Market @ 25th participated in the "In the Sun Again" Block Party at the Robinson Theater last evening- a great event thanks to Betsy Hart and Todd Waldo! Special thanks to Nicole Brown, Kristen Rabourdin, and Mike Maruca for their enthusiasm, dedication and energy in promoting our store at the event, and to Gilbert Howard for representing our Advisory Committee and always eagerly helping our store and his community.
Yesterday, I delivered Meals on Wheels for FeedMore in Church Hill. I do this every other Friday. It's another great way to give back to our community. Each of the staff of The Market @ 25th will be highly encouraged, and given time to, volunteer at a non-profit in Church Hill, once a month. They will identify their agency of choice and our store will coordinate their schedules to allow time in their schedule for their volunteer time at that agency.
Also yesterday, I had a wonderful meeting with Pat Foster with the City of Richmond Minority Business Development and Yvette Roots with the Office of Community Wealth Building to discuss opportunities for minority owned businesses in our store. We will partnering with Floyd Miller and the Metropolitan Business League to have a joint listening session for all potential minority businesses to be represented or provide services in the store. The meeting will be in three weeks. I'll post more once the date is finalized.
Have a wonderful weekend!
